PCI SSC and EMVCo collaborate on 3-D Secure 2.0
The PCI Council and EMVCo are collaborating on the upcoming launch of 3-D Secure 2.0 (3DS 2.0) to boost security for online and mobile transactions.

At the North America Community Meeting in Las Vegas, Chief Technology Officer Troy Leach discussed the latest update to the PCI payment device standard and how it's designed to combat advanced attacks on cash machines, in-store and unattended terminals and mobile devices used for payment transactions.

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month
As you may know, National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) is this October. The Council is an Official Champion of NCSAM - and as such will lead conversations this month to help raise awareness around various cybersecurity issues.

First up, this Thursday, 6 October from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. EDT/noon – 1:00 p.m PDT we invite you to join a Twitter chat on the basics of online safety. Follow the Council's Twitter handle @PCISSC and join the conversation by utilizing the #ChatSTC hashtag.

Also keep an eye on our PCI Perspectives blog this month for Cyber Security Awareness related posts. Learn how your organization can become an Official Champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month here.
