From 2 March to 14 April 2020, PCI SSC stakeholders can participate in a Request for Comments (RFC) on the Software-based PIN Entry on COTS Standard v1.1 draft.
Background on the Software-based PIN Entry on COTS Standard v1.1
The Council is working on a minor revision of the SPoC Standard, including the SPoC Magnetic Stripe Readers (MSR) Annex, mainly to align with an upcoming publication of PCI PTS POI v6.0. The updated security requirements and test requirements will allow SPoC solutions to integrate with PCI PTS SCRP devices that support magnetic-stripe readers.
RFC Participation
The RFC will be available through the PCI SSC portal, including instructions on how to access the document and submit feedback. Primary contacts for each organization can access the Software-based PIN Entry on COTS Standard v1.1 RFC via the Portal. Eligible RFC participants will be required to accept a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to download the document.
